About

The University of Queensland Hockey Club established in 1912 is one of the oldest and strongest clubs within the Brisbane Hockey Association (BHA) and Brisbane Women's Hockey Association (BWHA).

The former UQ Men's and Women's Hockey Clubs merged in 2014 to create one of Brisbane's largest clubs.

With a blend of experienced, established club members and continual arrival of younger university students, UQHC's members share an active social life on annual pub-crawls, trivia nights, gala balls and other events.

Played on weekends on either artificial turf or grass, with training during the week, UQHC offers an enjoyable and competitive way to keep fit for activities on and off the field.

With the arrival of two synthetic pitches at the St Lucia Campus in 2016, UQHC is expanding it's junior teams to have field U7's, U9's, U11's, U13's and J's in the Brisbane girls and boys competitions.

UQHC is not just for UQ students, staff or alumni; UQHC is open to anyone!
